Qualifications

BS in Chemical Engineering, 10+ years engineering in refining/petrochemical.
4+ years in advanced process control engineering.
Experience leading APC applications from concept to sustained operation.
Must wear PPE in refinery, travel, and pass drug test/physical.
US work authorization without visa sponsorship; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Lead development, commissioning, and sustainment of MPC/APC applications to optimize unit performance and profitability.
Own end-to-end APC lifecycle from opportunity identification to value realization.
Collaborate with Operations, Planning, Economics to align APC with objectives and LP signals.
Apply cost-benefit analysis to prioritize APC work with highest value.
Track APC performance metrics, KPIs, and realized economic benefits.
Develop dynamic models and inferential sensors to support APC objectives.
Design cross-unit optimization strategies and oversee controller tuning.
Mentor APC engineers and provide training on APC concepts and documentation.
