Providence Health Plan Group is seeking an experienced Senior Admissions RN to coordinate admissions and bed placement for patients requiring admission. You will review charts and coordinate bed criteria to ensure timely, appropriate placement while collaborating with nursing, physicians, EVS, and leadership to remove barriers to patient flow.
The role emphasizes cross-functional teamwork across departments to optimize patient access and throughput in a busy hospital environment.
The Senior Admissions RN has the primary responsibility of coordinating admissions and bed placement for patients requiring admission. This includes admissions from all areas, including emergency departments, direct admits, surgical spaces, and transfers. Chart review and/or calls to clarify bed criteria are performed to assure appropriate bed placement and coordination. The Senior Admissions RN collaborates with nursing, physicians, EVS, clinical resource office, Administrative Supervisor, Leadership, and other facilities to define, reduce, and eliminate barriers within the system that may impede patient flow and access.
