Job summary

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for a multitasker with excellent communication to support the Deputy Warden and manage the unit budget and supplies at ASPC-Tucson.

The Administrative Assistant III will maintain calendars, respond to inquiries, and coordinate purchases while ensuring compliance with agency policies in a prison environment. A strong emphasis on organization, documentation, and teamwork completes the role.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of departmental rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Principles and practices of office administration and management.
  • Grammatical formatting.
  • Supervision, leadership, and management techniques.
  • Accounting and budgeting procedures.
  • Three (3) years of administrative experience reporting to a manager or administrator.
  • Proficient in using Google Suites.

Responsibilities

  • Researches and compiles reports, letters, inquiries and policy updates
  • Manages unit budget to include purchasing and tracking expenditures
  • Tracks disciplinary actions and prepares final outcome documents
  • Completes projects as assigned
  • Coordinates special event fund raisers
  • Conducts the Capital Equipment Inventory
  • Supervises subordinates staff
  • Drives on State business
  • Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
