Butte County Behavioral Health Department is seeking a Senior Administrative Analyst to lead trainings and supervise the medical billing team for Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder programs. Responsibilities include managing billing processes in EHR, UMDAP, Sliding Scale, and Fee Waiver adjustments, plus identifying and resolving billing problems.
The position is in-person with no remote work, under the Department of Behavioral Health.
This classification is scheduled to receive a wage increase of 5% in July of 2027.
The Butte County Behavioral Health Department is seeking a Senior Administrative Analyst with the ability to lead trainings and work review for our medical billing team, including Medi-Cal, Medicare, Insurance and Private Pay billing for Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder programs. Maintains member financial accounts in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), including uniform determination of ability to pay (UMDAP), Sliding Scale, and Fee Waiver adjustments. Identifies and resolves billing problems. Processes claims, disallowances, and voided claims. Reviews and interprets Federal, State, County and department regulations, policy, and other guidance to ensure fully compliant claiming. Prepares desk references and reports, as well as providing recommendations related to billing processes.
