Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Technician to support and independently execute production operations within its metal additive manufacturing environment. This role handles machine setup, build preparation, powder handling, post-build processing, and quality-focused production support for Laser Powder Bed Fusion and Metal Binder Jetting.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years in manufacturing, experience with additive manufacturing, CNC machining, or regulated aerospace

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school or associate degree in manufacturing/engineering technology preferred.
• 2–4 years of manufacturing/production experience preferred.
• Experience in additive manufacturing or regulated aerospace environments strongly preferred.
• Ability to independently follow and execute detailed work instructions and procedures.
• Willingness to support shift work, overtime, and production demands.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine setup, build preparation, material loading, and powder handling independently.
• Execute cleaning, preventive maintenance, and equipment readiness checks.
• Manage powder recycling, sieving, storage, and material traceability.
• Follow quality procedures, documentation, and production standards.
• Complete and review production records, inspection documentation, and work orders.
• Perform visual and basic dimensional inspections and elevate nonconformances.
• Ensure safety protocols for metal powders, PPE, and equipment.
• Support inventory accuracy and material flow within production areas.
• Operate hoists and material handling equipment with appropriate training.
• Assist in troubleshooting routine production or equipment issues and escalate complex problems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and throughput.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, quality, and production leadership to improve processes.
• Assist in training and onboarding of entry-level technicians as needed.
• Support shift handoffs and ensure communication of production status.

Role Overview

Beehive Industries is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Technician to support and independently execute production operations within its metal additive manufacturing environment. This roleis responsible formachine setup, build preparation, powder handling, post-build processing, and quality-focused production support for advanced manufacturing systems including Laser Powder Bed Fusion (Laser Powder Bed Fusion) and Metal Binder Jetting (Metal Binder Jetting). The technicianoperateswith increased autonomy, supports troubleshooting of routine issues, and ensures adherence to strict aerospace manufacturing standards.

What You’ll Do...

• Independently perform machine setup, build preparation, material loading, and powder handling
• Execute routine cleaning, preventative maintenance, and equipment readiness checks
• Manage powder recycling, sieving, storage, and material traceability processes
• Follow and reinforce quality procedures, documentation requirements, and production standards
• Complete and review production records, inspection documentation, and work order tracking
• Perform visual and basic dimensional inspections and elevate nonconformances appropriately
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols related to metal powders, PPE, and industrial equipment
• Support inventory accuracy and material flow within production areas
• Operate hoists and material handling equipment with minimal supervision when trained and authorized
• Support troubleshooting of routine production or equipment issues and elevate complex issues
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and throughput
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, quality, and production leadership to improve processes
• Assistin training and onboarding of entry-level technicians as needed
• Support shift handoffs and ensureaccuratecommunication of production status

Education

Experience

• 2–4 years of manufacturing, production, or industrial experience preferred
• Experience in additive manufacturing, CNC machining, or regulated aerospace/industrial environments strongly preferred
• Ability to independently follow and execute detailed work instructions and procedures
• Strong attention to detail with ability toidentifyand elevate quality issues
• Solid mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment
• Ability to safely operate in an industrial environment with strict PPE compliance
• Basic troubleshooting ability for equipment or process-related issues
• Proficiencywith manufacturing software systems and production tracking tools
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across production and engineering teams
• Ability to manage workload independently while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Willingness to support shift work, overtime, and production demands
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice to have...

• Prior experience in additive manufacturing, 3D printing, or CNC machining
• Experience in aerospace, defense, medical, or other regulated manufacturing industries
• Technical school, vocational training, or associate degree in manufacturing or engineering technology
• Prior experience mentoring or training junior technicians
