Job summary

Martello Re is seeking an experienced actuary to lead model development, validation, and projection work for US GAAP and ALM. You will own key deliverables, work with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior analysts to ensure accurate, well-documented results.

The role emphasizes advanced modeling using Prophet and R/Python, with strong emphasis on data analytics, pricing decisions, and strategic financial planning in a fast-paced reinsurance setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related field and an FSA designation.
• Minimum 5 years of actuarial experience with direct involvement in annuity modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, execution, and validation of actuarial models for US GAAP, FP&A, and capital management.
• Develop and refine models in Prophet and open source tools, ensuring accuracy and robustness.
• Run projections for valuation, pricing, and forecasting; document controls and findings.
• Mentor junior staff and present model outcomes to senior leadership.
