Job summary

A financial services company based in Durham, NC is looking for an experienced annuity valuation actuary to ensure the accuracy and consistency of valuation results. This role involves performing and reviewing Statutory and GAAP valuations, managing valuation processes, and enhancing actuarial models. Candidates must have an FSA designation and over 10 years of actuarial experience, particularly in life insurance or annuity products. The position offers a full-time salaried role with benefits, and requires onsite work three days a week.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of actuarial experience, with significant exposure to statutory and/or GAAP valuation.
• Strong understanding of U.S. Statutory and U.S. GAAP accounting frameworks.
• Ability to independently manage complex workstreams and deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review Statutory and GAAP valuation for annuity products.
• Own end-to-end execution of valuation processes, including assumption governance.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance actuarial models in GGY AXIS.
