Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking a motivated actuarial candidate to join a dynamic reserving and loss analytics team in Hartford, CT.

The role focuses on reserving with additional duties in financial reporting, profitability studies, and claim analytics across Commercial Casualty and Workers’ Compensation. You will apply advanced actuarial methods to ensure reserve adequacy and effective reporting while developing analytical tools and insights to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of reserving experience.
• FCAS preferred; will consider non-FCAS with strong experience.

Responsibilities

• Reserving & Loss Analytics for Arch Insurance Group.
• Assist quarterly reserving processes and management discussions.
• Lead development of new reserving techniques and analytics visuals.
• Perform quarterly in-depth analyses and forecast discussions with executives.
• Collaborate with Pricing, Underwriting, Claims, IT and Finance on loss trends and action plans.
• Support GAAP and SAP financial reporting, actuarial opinions, and statutory statements.
• Contribute to profitability reviews and underwriting analyses.
