Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned actuary to establish strategic partnerships, provide actuarial guidance, and influence pricing decisions across business segments. You will build relationships with peers and leadership, deliver analyses, and develop tools to support profitability and reserving trends.

The role requires ACAS and progress toward FCAS, with deep knowledge of insurance functions, analytics, and leadership communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent
  • Typically a minimum of seven years of related work experience
  • ACAS designation and working towards FCAS
  • May include candidates who have attained their FCAS
  • Strong knowledge of core insurance company functions and actuarial and statistical concepts
  • Advanced actuarial technical expertise and product-specific knowledge
  • Ability to communicate and influence using analyses at various levels, including senior leadership
  • Experience building successful business partnerships
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Solid project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams
  • Ability to make critical business decisions within scope of authority
  • Ability to manage ambiguous and challenging problems and lead through change

Responsibilities
