Job summary

Martello Re Limited seeks an actuarial analyst to support quarterly financial reporting across US GAAP, Bermuda EBS/BSCR, and embedded value frameworks. You’ll analyze modeled results, refine analytics, and help automate reporting processes while supporting new treaties and products.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or a related field and at least two years of actuarial experience; ASA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the quarterly financial reporting production cycle across US GAAP, Bermuda EBS/BSCR, and embedded value frameworks through the analysis of modeled results and production of the reporting package
• Monitor and refine existing analytics and reports to ensure continued relevance and alignment with evolving business needs
• Identify opportunities to enhance, streamline, and automate reporting processes and analytical frameworks
• Support the onboarding of new reinsurance treaties and products including the design and implementation of controls and analytics frameworks
• Support the annual actuarial assumption review process including experience analysis, assumption assessment, and quantification of financial impacts
• Support the annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes
• Serve as a key point of contact for external audit requests related to actuarial reporting
• Contribute to ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives across the actuarial and finance functions
• Other tasks as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

Required Skills

• Familiarity with US GAAP (LDTI) and/or EBS/BSCR.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Some familiarity with R, Python, and/or comparable programming language, and/or actuarial modeling software (e.g., Prophet, MG-ALFA) preferred.
• Ability to anticipate, problem-solve, take action, and adapt in a fast-paced, growing business.
• High degree of attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with others in support of key initiatives.
