Job summary

The Ivy Colorado Springs, part of Oakmont Senior Living, seeks an Activity Assistant to organize and direct activities that enhance residents’ independence and enjoyment. You will help plan excursions, coordinate volunteer efforts, and promote a welcoming social atmosphere across the community.

Ideal candidates bring experience coordinating activities for seniors, strong communication skills, and a passion for enriching lives.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C license; Class B or Class C with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB tests.
• Vaccination/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in delivering engaging, high-quality activities and promoting resident participation.
• Develop, recruit, manage, and schedule Community Volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively and with tact with residents, families, visitors, staff and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles and support transportation as required.
• Encourage teamwork across departments to support resident experience.
