Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects, is seeking a qualified Construction Inspector Observer for its Denver Loveland, CO office. This role inspects operations on transportation construction sites and ensures compliance with Standard Specifications for roads and bridges.

The position requires travel, accurate record-keeping, and clear communication with owners and contractors. A minimum of 10+ years of construction experience is expected, with the ability to lift 50+ pounds and stay

Qualifications

• Performs construction inspection on multiple projects.
• Able to monitor several work activities and record daily contractor progress.
• Communicates effectively in writing and orally with owner/contractor.
• Maintains accurate, timely records of progress (daily/weekly/monthly).
• Ability to work independently on job sites.

Responsibilities

This person will be responsible for the inspection of specific operations on construction job sites for transportation projects.

Essential Job Functions:

• Attends various meetings as needed related to construction projects.
• Must know the Standard Specifications for roads and bridges and other transportation construction in Colorado and their application.
• Answers inquiries and complaints from residents. Must be able to be a good communicator.
• Must know how to scale and measure distances.
• Must obtain measurements and report progress information and place on an Inspector's Daily Report (IDR).
• Must be willing to travel and stay out of town a week at a time.
• Must be able to lift and handle 50+ pounds.
