Job summary

Applied Research Solutions (ARS) is seeking a Program Manager to support the NCN within the Global ASNT Increment 2 Block 2 PMO. You will work under the Nuclear Networks Division to provide acquisition and program management expertise in DoD environments, interfacing with AF/DoD stakeholders.

The role requires 5–7 years of DoD program management experience, US citizenship, and an active Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide acquisition and program management support in line with DoD guidance and AFI/DoD policy references.

  • Support program reviews, IMP/IMS, and senior level meetings with concise, accurate information.

This key role provides support to the Program Executive Office for Nuclear Command, Control, Communications Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (Global ASNT) Increment 2 Block 2 (I2B2) Program Management Office via the Nuclear Networks Division (NCN). The NC3 Directorate's mission is to provide support to the Program Executive Office (PEO), the Deputy Director, Deputy AFPEO NC3 and staff for acquisition and administrative control of all NC divisions, branches, and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02 Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework, AFI 63-101/20-101, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force.
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition, sustainment, or modification programs.
  • Knowledge of support activities that assist the program manager in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines, be able to recommend viable solutions to problems, and the pursuit of alternative courses of action.
  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.).
  • Plan, research, analyze, and assess system acquisition in terms of development, production, deployment and sustainment of weapons systems and associated equipment as well as formulate plans and recommend effective strategies in meeting cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
  • Support and develop acquisition and sustainment reports, including statutory and regulatory reports (i.e. Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES), Monthly Activity Report (MAR), etc.).
  • Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews, and IMP/IMS reviews.
  • Support and develop various briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management.
  • Understand the different funding types, budgets and the Central Asset Management (CAM)
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, master's degree preferred.
  • Program Manager experience, with at least 5-7 years in a DoD environment. (Air Force preferred)
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be a US citizen.

The expected annual salary range: $170k - $195K. Salary is dependent upon the role, associated responsibilities, candidates experience and qualifications to include education/training and key skills.
