Job summary

DCS Corp seeks a Senior Acquisition Program Materials Engineer to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Agile Weapons Division ARRW program. The role delivers weapons systems engineering capabilities throughout the acquisition process.

Responsibilities include designing, qualifying, and testing warheads, performing modeling and analyses, and providing materials engineering solutions for fabrication and processing. A Top Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

BS in a related field with 10 years of relevant experience, or MS with 5 years, or PhD with 3 years.
Experience in DoD acquisition programs or similar engineering environments.
Experience with DoD acquisition lifecycle processes and DoDI 5000 series.
Experience with warhead design, testing, and materials processing is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with the design, development, qualification, and testing of warheads, including mechanical design, manufacturing, energetic fills, and aircraft integration.
Support penetration modeling, fragmentation and penetration performance analysis, fatigue and stress analysis, and insensitive munitions work per MIL‑STD‑810G and MIL‑STD‑2105C.
Provide materials engineering support, including identifying suitable materials, advise on material composition and processing, and developing or improving fabrication/processing techniques.
Perform testing and evaluation of materials, corrosion control, failure analysis, and contribute to inspecting techniques, standards, and maintenance procedures across the product life cycle.
Risk management and technical problem-solving.
Configuration management and technical documentation.
