Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Senior Acquisition Analyst to advise the Chief Engineer and align requirements with program execution for SSC SYD 84/MT programs at LA AFB. Strong acquisition and systems engineering background required, with active DoD clearance.

You will interact with DoD teams and contractors, guiding major milestones and leading MW/MT architecture development and execution.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Engineering, or the Sciences.
• Minimum 10 years of experience performing Systems Engineering and Acquisition Management activities in government or related arenas.
• Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering practices and acquisition management regulations for Major Defense Acquisition Programs.
• Ability to report to El Segundo location, up to full-time.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a pivotal senior advisor to the Chief Engineer, translating leadership's vision into actionable plans for SSC SYD 84/MT programs at LA AFB, CA.
• Drive strategic alignment of high-level requirements to program execution.
• Interact with multidisciplinary DoD technical workforce and defense contractors to guide programs through milestones like Critical Design Reviews and Readiness Reviews.
• Evaluate and oversee development of essential acquisition and engineering documents (TEMP, SEP, PPP, LCMP, ICDs).
• Support development and maintenance of Program Interface Control Documents.
• Lead MW/MT Architecture development and execution.

SPA has an immediate need for Senior Acquisition Analyst.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will serve as a pivotal senior advisor to the Chief Engineer, applying deep technical and acquisition expertise to ensure the successful execution of the Division's portfolio. You will drive the strategic alignment of high-level requirements to program execution by translating leadership's vision into actionable plans in support of the Space Systems Command (SSC) SYD 84/MT programs at LA AFB, CA.

• Support the Chief Engineer (CE) in the alignment of requirements to execution for the Resilient Missile Warning/Missile Track (MW/MT) architecture.
• Interact with a multidisciplinary DoD technical workforce and defense hardware contractors to guide programs through major milestones like Critical Design Reviews and Readiness Reviews.
• Evaluate and oversee the development of essential acquisition and engineering support documents (i.e., TEMP, SEP, PPP, and LCMP, ICDs).
• Support the development and maintenance of Program Interface Control Documents.
• Support program elements to execute major milestones, Design Reviews, and Readiness Reviews.
• Lead MW/MT Architecture development and execution.

• Minimum 10 years of experience performing Systems Engineering and Acquisition Management activities in the government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit / non-profit government support / development Contractor arena
• Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering practices and acquisition management regulations associated with Major Defense Acquisition Programs
• Ability to report to designated work location in El Segundo, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer

About the Desired

• Master's degree, preferably in Math, Engineering, or the Sciences
• 15 years of experience performing Systems Engineering and Acquisition Management activities in the government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit / non-profit government support / development Contractor arena
• Systems Engineering certification (CSEP) and experience on MW/MT programs (DSP, SBIRS, OPIR)
