Today, BRINC deploys Drone as First Responder (DFR) networks that dispatch drones directly to 911 calls, providing real-time aerial intelligence before ground units arrive and helping first responders make faster, safer decisions. BRINC serves more than 1,000 public safety customers across all 50 states, is the sole drone supplier to Motorola Solutions, and has raised more than $280 million from leading strategic and technology investors, including Motorola Solutions, Index Ventures, Sam Altman, Dylan Field, and others. BRINC is recruiting exceptional engineers to build the next generation of autonomous emergency-response technology, including flight-critical firmware and advanced pilot-assistance capabilities.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

  • Oversee overall tax compliance, including federal, state, local, sales, and payroll taxes, and partner with external tax advisors to coordinate annual filings and other applicable requirements.

  • Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance function.

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning efforts.

  • Support cross-functional teams on ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

  • Oversee inventory and cost accounting, including work in process, finished goods, and cost of goods sold.

  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls appropriate for a high-growth organization.

  • Evaluate and implement scalable accounting systems and automation tools, including the company’s future ERP environment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment, combined with hands-on knowledge of manufacturing operations

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and proficiency in financial reporting

  • Demonstrated experience managing an audit process, including selection of and interaction with external auditors

  • Hands-on experience implementing financial systems (AR/AP tools or an ERP) to streamline finance & accounting operations

  • Ability to leverage AI tools and automated workflows to optimize accounting operations, enhance variance analysis, and drive close/reporting efficiencies

  • Expert in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, NetSuite) and proficient with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets

  • Proficient in SaaS subscription management/AR software

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate informed recommendations across multiple stakeholders

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting
