Job summary

JFS Consulting is seeking an experienced Accounting Senior Associate to support a high-performing team of accounting and financial professionals. This remote-friendly role emphasizes proactive leadership, process improvement, and accurate financial reporting under GAAP.

You will prepare complex journal entries, perform reconciliations, and assist with month-end close while collaborating with other departments to resolve issues and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA or progress toward CPA preferred but not required.
  • Typically 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Accounting Senior Associate is responsible for performing advanced accounting tasks and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting. This role involves preparing complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting month-end close activities, without direct supervision or team management responsibilities. The Senior Associate serves as a knowledgeable, detail-oriented contributor who upholds accounting standards and supports process improvements.

WHAT YOU BRING:

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

JOB TYPE: Full-time

PAY: $68,000 - $80,000 annually dependent on experience and geographic location.

EXPECTED HOURS: Due to the nature of our business, and urgency of our clients' needs, you may be required to work additional hours, evenings and/or weekends.
