Blue Ops Partners is seeking a Senior Finance and Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations for client portfolios in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Qualifications

  • Strong leadership of accounting and finance teams.
  • 7–15 years progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Public accounting background preferred.
  • CPA, CFA or CMA credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting operations for multiple client portfolios, including month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Ensure GAAP compliance, accurate financial reporting, and audit support.
  • Serve as primary liaison between private equity sponsors and portfolio company leadership.
  • Provide financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting to support client objectives.
  • Partner with technology teams on ERP/accounting system design and implementation.
  • Act as the main point of contact for executives, boards, and stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance teams to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client engagements and services.
  • Oversee cash management activities including AP/AR, treasury, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Develop KPI tracking and operational reporting cadences.

THE ROLE

The Senior Finance and Accounting Manager will be responsible for developing and executing key value creation initiatives within the finance and accounting function, Including accounting and finance process optimization, GAAP compliance, month-end close, financial analysis, modeling, and business process improvements. This role balances hands-on accounting expertise with strategic advisory responsibilities, partnering with clients across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee accounting operations for clients, including month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Ensure GAAP compliance, accurate technical accounting, high-quality financial reporting, and audit support.
  • Serve as primary liaison between private equity sponsor and portfolio company leadership.
  • Provide financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting in support of client objectives.
  • Partner with technology teams on ERP/accounting system design and implementation.

What Your Resume Shows
  • Big 4 or public accounting experience strongly preferred. Corporate accounting leadership also considered.
  • 7–15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Undergraduate B.S. Degree - emphasis in Accounting & Finance, CPA, CFA, or CMA preferred
  • Expertise in month-end close, technical accounting, financial reporting, and audits.
  • Exposure to FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, and financial reporting systems.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing client relationships.
