POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate and partnership tax provisions, as well as sales tax research, setup, and compliance. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process, prepare, and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of general ledger transactions.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Manage corporate and partnership tax provisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct sales tax research, register for necessary jurisdictions, and ensure compliance with state and local tax requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for audits and tax filings.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to enhance financial processes and reporting accuracy.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by providing financial insights and variance analysis.
  • Assist in preparing tax-related documentation and reports for corporate and partnership entities.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency in financial reporting and tax compliance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience with corporate and partnership tax provisions.
  • Proficiency in sales tax research, setup, and compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, tax, or a related field.
