Job summary

Luxottica Group, a global leader in eyewear design and distribution, is seeking a Sr. Accountant to provide cash flow analysis and manage intercompany cash transfers. The role interfaces with Sungard and SAP and coordinates with the Home Office, New York, and Italian offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years accounting/finance experience.
• Proficiency with personal computers and spreadsheet applications.
• Treasury knowledge – understanding of treasury products and trends for corporations.
• Ability to communicate and operate effectively in a fast-paced organization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Demonstrates ability to see the big picture and think outside the box.
• Demonstrates willingness and ability to be a self-starter, taking the initiative to solve problems/pursue business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Creates cash flow forecast and analyze results.
• Analyses and reports cross currency intracompany balances weekly, and calculate cash transfers.
• Maintains interface between Sungard Treasury Management Software and SAP; maps new accounts and journal changes.
• Trains and develops direct reports.
• Ensures proper separations of duties for cash transfers with approvals.
• Maintains communication with home office, New York, Italian offices, and banking partners.
• Acts as co-system administrator for corporate online banks.
• Assists in special projects as requested by management.
• Maintains working knowledge of GAAP and current trends.
• Maintains working knowledge of Sungard, SAP and related systems.
