The Landline Company is seeking an Accountant / Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. You’ll own accounts payable, contribute to month-end close and reconciliations, and support treasury and payroll processes. The role level will depend on experience in a fast-moving, detail-oriented environment.

Reporting to the Controller, you will help build efficient processes, ensure audit readiness, and grow with the company as it expands multimodal connectivity across North America.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience for the Accountant level, or 4+ years for the Senior Accountant level.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, month-end close, and account reconciliations.
• Experience payroll functions.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with an accounting system or ERP (such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Sage Intacct).
• Vendor management.
• Preferred CPA or progress toward a CPA.
• Experience in transportation, aviation, or a multi-location business, a plus.

Mansioni

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice review and coding, approvals, payment runs, and vendor inquiries.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules as part of the month-end close, consistently meeting close deadlines.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and research and resolve variances.
• Support payroll by reviewing and recording payroll journal entries, reconciling payroll accounts, and partnering with People Operations on payroll questions.
• Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9 collection and year-end 1099 reporting.
• Support vendor management, vendor onboarding, and spend tracking.
• Assist the Controller with audits, tax filings, and ad hoc analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve, document, and automate accounting processes and internal controls.
