Job summary

Humana Inc. seeks a Senior Accountant for the Primary Care Organization to manage general accounting activities, reconcile ledgers, and prepare financial statements. You will support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, contributing to strategic decisions with limited supervision.

The role reports to an Accounting Lead and offers remote work within the US, with hybrid possibilities near Humana offices. A CPA and PowerBI knowledge are preferred, and a competitive bonus plan is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Five or more years of experience in an accounting/finance role.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and formulas.

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting activities including ledger maintenance and financial statement preparation.
• Reconcile ledger accounts and capital expenditure schedules; ensure integrity of accounting records.
• Provide forecasting, budgeting support and analyze variations from budget.
• Assist in or conduct accounting projects requiring in-depth analysis.
