Senior Accountant - Payroll

Hybrid - 3 days in office / 2 days REMOTE

Location: Princeton, NJ

Salary: $85-95K plus incentives (bonus, equity, sign-on)

Above market compensation and benefits. Well-established, Princeton area company is seeking a Senior Accountant, Payroll position. 2.5+ years of experience. Position offers a Hybrid work environment. Exceptional compensation, benefits, and PTO.

Responsibilities
  • Complete accurate and timely preparation, analysis, and distribution of payroll.
  • Ensure payroll accounting policies are implemented and compliant with SOX.
  • Ensure accuracy for payroll totals, withholdings and remittances and review reconciliations.
  • Support equity compensation transactions by executing payroll withholding taxes.
  • Issue net remit settlement payments to employees.
  • Provide support for employee related payroll questions.
  • Execute high discretion and sensitive payroll information as confidential.
  • Identify and assist in cross functional process improvement projects as well as in ERP and systems implementation.
  • Leverage digital innovation tools such as AI to streamline processes.
  • Participate in internal/external audit reviews.
  • Perform audit data requests, including workers compensation audits, 401K audits, and payroll tax audits.
  • Ensure governmental statistical reporting requirements are met.
  • Assist with reporting disclosures.
  • Support activation/deactivation of the corporate credit card program.
Qualifications
  • BS in Accounting preferred but not required.
  • 2.5+ years experience.
  • Certified Payroll Processor preferred
  • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
