You will manage journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis by merchandise category, vendor, and location, while upholding GAAP and internal controls. Strong Excel, ERP, and analytics skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA certification or CPA eligible is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities to ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve items promptly.
• Perform detailed gross profit analysis by merchandise category, vendor, and location.
• Analyze sales, inventory, cost of sales, markdowns, shrink, and margins.
• Prepare monthly management financial reports and schedules.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Participate in system enhancements, automation projects and process improvements.
• Ad-hoc duties as needed.
