Job summary

Socomec Group, a global leader in electrical equipment engineering and manufacturing, is seeking a Senior Accountant for its North America finance organization. You will ensure accurate accounting across multiple locations, support month-end close, inventory and cost accounting, intercompany activities, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities include leading close processes, consolidating data for corporate reporting, and partnering with auditors and tax professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5-10 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities.
• Perform financial analysis and provide ad hoc reporting.
• Manage consolidation into corporate reporting tools.
• Monitor balance sheet accounts, intercompany transactions, and in-transit accounts.
• Maintain fixed asset and capital expenditure records.
• Support cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing accounting activities.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Calculate inventory reserves and stock variations.
• Conduct inventory reconciliations and audits.
