Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial health and sustainability across the organization and its affiliates. You will prepare and analyze financial information, support budgeting and forecasting, and help ensure resources are managed responsibly to enable informed decisions and future planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business required; 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred or equivalent
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in financial work
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel preferred and willingness to learn new tools
• Experience with modern accounting and financial reporting platforms is desirable
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and day-to-day accounting activities (reconciliations, journal entries, transactions review)
• Prepare and explain financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for leadership
• Support budgeting, grant financial management, and monitoring of resources to meet funding requirements
• Provide guidance and tools to departments to improve financial processes
• Support compliance, audits, reporting, and other financial requirements across the organization
• Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen financial systems and controls
