Job summary

Wynn Resorts is seeking a General Ledger professional to review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for designated divisions of the casino and resort. This role involves ensuring accuracy and guiding Staff Accountants with questions as needed.

The position requires a college degree in accounting or related fields, 2+ years of accounting experience, and proficiency with MS Office and GL systems (PeopleSoft preferred).

Qualifications

• College degree in Accounting, Finance or a business-related field is required.
• Two or more years of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with fixed assets, prepaid amortization schedules and various accruals (payroll, A/P) is desirable.
• Intermediate skills with 10-key, MS Office, and GL systems; PeopleSoft experience preferred.
• English reading/writing/speaking professionally is required; professional appearance and demeanor expected.
• Must be a team player who can also work independently to complete workload.

Responsibilities

• Review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations prepared by Staff Accountants, checking accuracy and assisting with questions.
• Review the trial balance and related financial statements for assigned divisions of the Casino Resort.
• Prepare adjusting journal entries to correct accounting errors.

Job Overview

General Ledger is responsible for reviewing all related financial statements for certain assigned divisions of the Casino and Resort.

Job Responsibilities

• Review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations prepared by Staff Accountants, checking their work for accuracy and assisting them with questions and/or problems.
• Review the trial balance and related financial statements for assigned divisions of the Casino Resort.
• Prepare adjusting journal entries correcting incorrect accounting entries.

Qualifications

• College degree in Accounting, Finance or a business‑related field.
• Two or more years of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with fixed assets, prepaid account amortization schedules and various expense accruals such as payroll and accounts payable.
• Intermediate skills with 10‑key, MS Office, and G/L financial system applications; experience with PeopleSoft preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English professionally; professional appearance and demeanor required.
• Strong team player who can also work independently to complete assigned workload and tasks.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
