Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 4–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries, schedules, and supporting documentation for month-end and year-end close.
• Assist with financial statements, Call Reports, and regulatory filings.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and respond to inquiries.
• Research, analyze, and resolve accounting issues with minimal supervision.
• Ensure accounting practices align with GAAP, NCUA regulations, and internal policies.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and documentation of procedures.
• Provide guidance and informal coaching to Accounting Clerks and Accountant I staff.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
• Maintain current knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory changes.
