Job summary

TEC Equipment, headquartered in Portland, Oregon, seeks a Senior Accountant to support balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, journal entries and the month-end close. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include preparing accruals, reviewing reconciliations, guiding journal entries, and aiding annual closes. The ideal candidate has a CPA, 3–5 years of experience, and solid US GAAP expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• CPA certification and 3–5 years of experience preferred.
• Excellent in-depth knowledge of US GAAP is required.
• Analytical, verbal and written communication skills needed for cross-functional interaction.
• Independent problem-solving skills and strong time management are essential.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Excel proficiency helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record month-end accruals and close entries.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Prepare, review, and approve journal entries per policy and controls.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes and reporting deadlines.
• Provide excellent service to cross-functional TEC Team members.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and review their work.
