Job summary

SolomonEdwards in the King of Prussia area is hiring a Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team and work closely with the Founder, CFO, and Operations on a highly visible set of duties. Responsibilities include the monthly close, GAAP reporting, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial research.

You will monitor budgets vs actuals, lead forecasting, assist with audits, and participate in special projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting is required.
• CPA or CPA track preferred.
• 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in public accounting is highly desired.
• Self-starter with desire to learn and advance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the monthly close and reporting process in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare and/or review journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Perform accounting research to determine proper classification and recording of transactions.
• Track budgets to actuals monthly, analyzing discrepancies.
• Lead the forecasting process.
• Identify ways to create efficiencies or automate processes.
• Perform detailed analysis of accounts to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Facilitate annual audits, providing documentation and explanations.
• Participate in special projects.
