Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or related field that included 24 semester hours in accounting (up to 6 hours in business law).
• Combination of education and experience: 24 semester hours in accounting/auditing; CPA/CIA certificate; or degree with substantial accounting coursework and related work.
• Transcript required to document educational requirements.
• GS-14 level requires one year of specialized experience in enterprise financial systems, implementing modernizations, and related KSAs.

Responsibilities

• Planning, developing, modernizing, or operating enterprise-level financial systems supporting complex accounting, fiscal, or payment operations.
• Developing system requirements, user stories, and functional specifications using Agile, SAFe, SDLC, or similar methodologies.
• Leading functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing of complex financial systems.
• Ensuring financial systems comply with federal accounting standards, fiscal requirements, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Leading financial system operations or modernization initiatives, including automation, system integration, cloud migration, change control, or incident resolution.
• Analyzing and resolving complex financial system and accounting issues and advising senior leadership on system design, controls, fiscal requirements, or payment operations.
• Developing financial systems policy and technical guidance, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and providing technical leadership or oversight.

Accounting degree with 24 semester hours in accounting

Related degree with 24 semester hours in accounting
