Job summary

Audiochuck seeks a Senior Accountant to manage financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and compliance. This in-person role requires strong GAAP knowledge and the ability to optimize processes in a fast-growing media company.

Based in New York, four days per week in the office, you will interact with the Controller and cross-functional teams to deliver timely insights, support audits, and drive accuracy across all ledgers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience in media, entertainment, or fast-growing organizations preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling experience.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Independent problem-solving with proactive process improvements.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with AI tools for data analysis or automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversees accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Manages sales tax/VAT reporting and compliance for international operations.
• Assists in monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting and analysis.
• Supports audits and tax preparation, ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Identifies process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Prepares ad hoc reports and data analyses for leadership.
