Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Senior Accountant in Downtown Miami to join a lean finance team at a lower-middle market private equity firm. You will report to the CFO and gain hands-on experience across management company and fund accounting, investor reporting, and tax compliance.

The role offers mentorship, ownership of key accounting tasks from day one, and exposure to private equity fund operations. A path toward Controller is outlined in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 3+ years accounting experience or 2+ years in public accounting with audit/tax/assurance.
• Strong Excel and general ledger experience.
• Experience with accounting software and internal controls.
• Excellent communication, organization, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and oversee close processes.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations; investigate variances.
• Process accounts payable and manage vendor relationships.
• Assist with fund accounting including capital calls and distributions.
• Support preparation of tax returns for management company and funds.
• Coordinate audit requests and investor reporting.
• Monitor quarterly performance of portfolio companies.
• Improve accounting processes and reporting efficiencies.
• Participate in special projects as the finance function grows.
