Job summary

Benchmark Utility Services in Texas is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Controller in GAAP-compliant financial reporting, month-end close, fixed assets, and project invoicing.

You will manage payroll support and balance sheet reconciliations, coordinate with lenders and auditors, and provide timely financial insights to operations. Strong Excel, attention to detail, and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post month-end journal entries and maintain balance sheet schedules.
• Record payroll entries and support weekly payroll processing.
• Assist with monthly project invoicing and AIA rollforward reconciliation.
• Record fixed assets and depreciation; manage lease and asset tracking.
• Support annual audits and statutory filings; maintain procedures documentation.
