Job summary

Steel Warehouse is seeking a skilled accounting professional in Indiana to manage core accounting functions and contribute to financial reporting. The role focuses on journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements within a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting, 3+ years of related experience, and familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Plex). MBA is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

• : Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year end close process.

Responsibilities

• Accurately record monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries.
• Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Sales, use, and property tax compliance
• Assist in planning, budgeting, and forecasting of expenses.
• Participate in physical inventories as needed.
• Assist with requests from management for ad hoc or special reports; provide requested data in a user-friendly format.
• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as assigned.
