SST Accountants & Consultants in the Dallas area seeks a Senior Accountant in CAAS to deliver full-cycle outsourced accounting services and strategic financial guidance. The role combines technical accounting expertise with client relationship management and process improvement.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or client advisory.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounting platforms.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Manage full-cycle outsourced accounting services including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and cash flow.
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee sales tax and payroll filings; resolve complex tax issues.
• Conduct month-end close procedures and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Lead client onboarding and ensure smooth transitions to internal systems.
• Meet with clients regularly to review financial performance and KPIs.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and controls.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and interns.

Major Responsibilities & Duties

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle outsourced accounting services, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Oversee sales tax and payroll filings; resolve complex tax issues and notices
• Perform month-end close procedures and ensure timely, accurate reporting
• Conduct accounting reviews in preparation for audits, tax returns, and year-end close
• Act as a strategic advisor, providing financial insights and recommendations to support client decision-making
• Lead client onboarding and ensure smooth transitions to internal systems and processes
• Meet with clients regularly to review financial performance, KPIs, and growth opportunities
• Identify and recommend improvements to clients’ accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting structures
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and interns
• Review work performed by team members and provide coaching and feedback
• Coordinate with client internal accounting teams and external auditors as needed
• Leverage platforms like QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct and other cloud-based tools to streamline workflows
• Recommend and implement automation tools and best practices to improve efficiency
• Stay current on emerging accounting technologies and industry trends
