Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas seeks a Senior Accountant to perform varied accounting functions including monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and ad-hoc projects. A strong analytical mindset and solid accounting knowledge are essential.

The ideal candidate will work with executives and business stakeholders, ensure internal controls, and maintain compliance with SOX and gaming regulations while supporting strategic financial reporting and cross-unit collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related field.
• 3+ years of prior accounting or auditing experience.
• Experience presenting to executives and stakeholders is preferred.
• Experience with monthly/quarterly financial reporting and P&L reviews is preferred.
• Gaming industry experience and MGM Resorts product suites are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Record transactional activity in the general ledger in a timely, accurate manner.
• Evaluate and implement internal controls to ensure processes operate effectively.
• Provide accurate financial reporting and ad-hoc analyses as requested.
• Plan resources, supervise projects, and drive design and improvement initiatives.
• Lead system/process implementations for corporate department needs.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and consistency across business units.
• Monitor resource allocation and service levels to meet internal expectations.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, gaming regulations, IRS and AML laws.
• Drive corporate strategies delivering high-quality, cost-efficient support services.
• Promote teamwork, performance feedback, and employee satisfaction.
