KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Staff or Senior Accountant for a North Suburban Chicago CPA firm in Highland Park, IL. The role offers broad exposure across tax, accounting, compilations, reviews, and audits, with the chance to develop into a well-rounded advisor.

We’re looking for 2–5 years of public accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and CPA or CPA candidate preferred. Open-door culture, direct access to partners, and robust client interaction are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Approximately 2–5 years of public accounting experience.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
• Prepare 1040, 1120, 1120-S, and 1065 returns.
• Participate in compilation, review, and audit engagements.
• Prepare financial statements, workpapers, and schedules.
• Reconcile accounts to trial balance and prepare depreciation schedules.
• Prepare tax projections, extensions, and estimated payments.
• Research accounting, audit, and tax issues and respond to notices.
• Communicate with clients and keep partners informed of progress.
