Job description

Position Overview

Rosales Financial Group, LLC (RFG) is a Certified Public Accounting and Data Advisory Firm headquartered in Atlanta, GA, with offices in Georgia, Florida, and New York City. We deliver audit, tax, forensic accounting, risk advisory, and financial systems services to government agencies, nonprofits, private‑sector businesses, and individuals across the country.

RFG holds itself to the highest CPA and AICPA professional standards while actively adopting the technology that is reshaping our profession. With over 100 years of combined professional experience, our team pairs deep public sector expertise with a genuine commitment to doing the work better. Our mission: Better Data. Better Decisions. For All.

RFG is seeking an experienced, adaptable Senior to join our Atlanta team. This is a generalist role for a professional with three to five years of audit and/or tax experience who is comfortable moving between engagements, industries, and service lines as client needs arise.

At the outset, the Senior will work across both audit, tax, and advisory. Our most immediate needs are in accounting and tax, with continuing demand in internal controls. Over time, the role can lean further toward audit or tax based on the individual's strengths and interests. RFG will also train the Senior to lead engagements — managing the steps needed to take an engagement from planning to completion and helping lead the client relationship.

Compensation: $75,000 per year

Responsibilities
Audit, Attest & Internal Controls
  • Perform internal controls work, including control walkthroughs, testing, and evaluation
  • Execute financial statement audit fieldwork, workpaper documentation, and findings preparation
  • Support forensic accounting engagements, including transaction analysis and documentation of results
  • Assist with audit reports, progress reporting, and compliance documentation
Tax & Accounting
  • Prepare and support tax work for high-net-worth individuals
  • Perform accounting and bookkeeping for business clients and prepare their related tax filings
  • Assist with tax planning, research, and client tax questions
  • Help plan and manage engagement operations: setting up the steps, timelines, and deliverables needed to complete each engagement
  • Track progress, coordinate with the engagement team, and keep work moving toward deadlines
  • Help lead day-to-day client relationships, communication, and document requests
  • Mentor, train, and review the work of Associates and interns, giving clear guidance and constructive feedback
  • Manage upward: keep engagement leadership informed of status, risks, budget, and decisions needed; raise issues early and come with recommended solutions
  • Bring forward ideas for better ways of working — RFG wants to hear them
How We Work

This is a hybrid position. Most RFG team members work remotely - from home or another location that keeps client information secure. In-person time is set by your manager based on engagement needs; when a deadline is approaching, a team may meet at the office or a co-working location one or more times a week to push work forward.

  • Onboarding: During your first one to three months, expect more in-person time for training. After that, flexibility increases as you and your team build confidence in the work.
  • Travel: Travel is part of the role. Engagements may require on-site work in Georgia, New York, or Florida — for example, a full week of walkthroughs at a client location — with advance notice.
  • One remote month: After one year, you may work fully remote for one month with prior approval from your manager and Human Resources. The month must fall outside our January–March busy season (typically summer or year-end), you must show that your work location keeps RFG assets and client information secure, and some clients do not permit it, so eligibility depends on your engagements.
Learning & Technology

Our industry and its technology move quickly, so learning at RFG never stops. Beyond CPE, you'll learn through new experiences as the firm adopts new tools and approaches. You'll work with artificial intelligence, Microsoft SharePoint, Oracle databases, and a wide range of ERP systems. We value people who are open to learning, aren't tied to doing things the way they've always been done, and want to collaborate on finding a better way.

  • Credential support: For team members pursuing the CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE, RFG will reimburse exam review and training materials and exam fees once you have (1) completed one year of employment and (2) successfully obtained the credential.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Three to five years of professional experience in audit, tax, or both
  • Comfort working across both audit and tax, and moving between engagements and industries
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and communicate directly and professionally with clients and firm leadership
  • Experience supervising, training, or reviewing the work of junior staff
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills; openness to learning new systems and technology
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Based in or able to relocate to the Atlanta, GA area; available for in-person training, team sessions, and travel to Georgia, New York, or Florida as needed
Preferred (not required)
  • CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE certification, or tax credentials, depending on the individual's focus
  • Experience with internal controls, financial statement audits, forensic accounting, or high-net-worth and business tax
  • Exposure to ERP systems, Oracle databases, or SharePoint
