Job summary

Stellantis Financial Services SFS, the captive finance arm for a leading automaker, seeks an experienced accountant to maintain accounts and ensure GAAP and IFRS compliance. You will analyze financial data, record transactions, and assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings while partnering with stakeholders.

Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, preparing leased asset schedules, supporting footnotes and disclosures, and delivering timely reports

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint; SQL fundamentals.
• Detail-oriented; able to meet deadlines; strong analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and write clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records and ensure financial statement accuracy.
• Prepare monthly journal entries; extensive account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end close and schedules related to leased asset portfolio.
• Support footnotes and disclosures for leased assets.
• Collaborate with departments to correct variances and deliver reports.
• Identify efficiency improvements in the financial reporting process.

Position Summary

Responsible for examining analyzing interpreting and maintaining the accounts and records of the company to ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards IFRS Complies and analyzes financial and non financial information to record transactions and reviewverify the accuracy of the data Works closely with the business stakeholders and assists in month quarter and year end financial statement closings

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintaining the companys accounting records and ensure financial statement accuracyPreparation of monthly daily and monthly journal entriesExtensive account reconciliation and variance researchAssists with the month end closing processPrepares monthly quarterly and year end schedules related to leased asset portfolioAssists with financial statements footnotes and disclosures related to leased asset portfolioWork with other departments to research and correct account reconciliation variancesPrepares reports for both internal and external parties monthly as well as quarterly and annually by specific deadlinesIdentifies ways to promote efficiency within the financial reporting process incorporate best practicesOther duties may be assigned
