Job summary

Rapid Industries, a material handling company based in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join on-site. You will oversee the general ledger, prepare journal entries, and ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.

Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, reconciling accounts, monitoring cash flow, and managing A/P and A/R.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting tools.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools.
• Understanding of cost accounting, project accounting, and inventory-related transactions in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to interpret financial data, prepare clear reports and communicate findings to stakeholders at different levels.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Prior experience in a senior or lead accounting role, preferably within manufacturing, industrial services, or material handling.
• Commitment to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing business needs.

Role Description
