Overview

Our client is seeking a CPA certified Senior Accountant to join their team on direct-hire basis. This role requires 3 days/week onsite in Pittsburgh.

Responsibilities

• Month and year-end closing processes.
• General Ledger, journal entries ,account reconciliations, proper financial reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary financial data.
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including cash, AP/AR, and other general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights/recommendations to management.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards(GAAP or IFRS).
• Review accounting procedures for process improvement opportunities.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of business tax returns, including sales, payroll, and income tax.
• Collaborate with tax advisors.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Financial analysis and variance reporting.

Qualifications

• CPA license and Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience (telecommunications industry experience preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience using accounting software and financial reporting systems (NetSuite preferred).
• Experience in auditing, tax preparation, or working in a public accounting firm.
