Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA or CPA-preferred.
• 4+ years of professional accounting experience; media/entertainment a plus.
• Advanced Excel and NetSuite proficiency.
• Self-starter with strong organizational, communication, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead month- and year-end close processes.
• Book journal entries; analyze GL accounts; reconcile balance sheets.
• Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
• Build cash flow forecasting models.
• Maintain financial records in NetSuite.
• Identify and lead process and system improvements.
• Assist with the annual audit.

A global sports media and entertainment company backed by top venture capital firms is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team in New York, NY. This is a high-impact role where you'll own core accounting processes while helping build and refine the systems that support a high-growth business. You will work across the general ledger, month-end close, and revenue recognition, with meaningful opportunity to drive process improvement as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead operational accounting including month and year-end close
• Book journal entries, analyze GL accounts, and create balance sheet account reconciliations
• Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
• Build cash flow forecasting models
• Work within NetSuite to maintain accurate financial records
• Identify and lead process and system improvement initiatives
• Assist with the annual audit

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Master's or CPA preferred
• 4+ years of professional accounting experience, background in media and entertainment industry is a plus
• Advanced Excel and NetSuite proficiency
• Self-starter, motivated
