Job summary

Alacriti, a leading fintech, seeks a Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team. You will support timely financial reporting, manage core accounting cycles, and uphold internal controls under US GAAP.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience (SaaS preferred), strong Excel skills, and NetSuite experience. This role offers remote work flexibility and a focus on accuracy and timely month-end closes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility, preferably in a SaaS company.
• Public accounting or audit experience is a plus but not required.
• Experience with core accounting operations (O2C, P2P, Payroll, Fixed Assets) and US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily accounting and financial operations.
• Support revenue recognition, AR, AP, payroll, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and monthly close.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist in tax filings and adherence to internal controls.
• Support budget, forecasting, and ad-hoc analyses.
• Assist audits and ensure timely processing per US GAAP.

Job Description Summary

The Senior Accountant is an actively engaged member of the Company’s Finance and Accounting team and reports directly to the Director of Finance and Accounting. The Senior Accountant supports accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensures adherence to appropriate internal control procedures.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented with a strong experience in full-cycle accounting processes.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily activities of Company’s accounting and financial operations
• Primary focus areas will include revenue recognition, accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, accruals, payroll, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and the monthly close process
• Assist in the preparation of monthly journal entries and related general ledger account reconciliations
• Assist in preparation and timely filing of state sales tax returns and other local tax returns
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Assist in maintaining and enhancing internal controls, policies, and procedures and the related documentation and record-keeping compliance
• Support budget and forecasting activities as required
• Provide responses and support for inbound departmental inquiries and ad-hoc analysis
• Support internal and external audit requirements
• Support accounting team’s commitment to timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions in accordance with US GAAP and the Company’s internal controls.
• Proactively identify issues and implement process improvements to streamline processes

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience with increasing responsibility, preferably at a rapidly growing SaaS company
• Public accounting or audit experience preferred but not required
• Experience with key accounting operations, including Order-To-Cash, Procure-To-Pay, Payroll, Fixed Assets, etc.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• CPA a plus but not required
• Must have strong Excel skills
• Experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP system)
• Strong work ethic, capacity to get things done independently, and consistent performance with a sense of urgency and commitment.
