Job summary

Waymo, a leader in autonomous driving technology, seeks a CPA with 4+ years at a Big 4 and strong intercompany/US GAAP experience for a hybrid Finance/Accounting role in Mountain View, CA. You will own the global month-end close, ensure accurate consolidation, and drive process improvements across global teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting (or related field) and expertise in IFRS/US GAAP. SAP Cloud and systems implementation experience are preferred, with a competitive base

Responsibilities

• Own the global month-end intercompany close and consolidation process, driving multi-currency FX revaluations, eliminations, and group reporting in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS
• Operationalize and scale the accounting framework to support international expansion and new legal entity setups
• Lead the operational accounting and execution for global transfer pricing, service fees, and cost-sharing agreements, ensuring alignment with corporate Tax and Treasury
• Manage global statutory reporting and compliance, acting as the primary controllership contact and partner with global cross-functional teams
• Automate and improve existing processes, and support systems implementation
• Identify, research, and document complex technical accounting issues

The Finance and Accounting group manages all aspects of our finances and serves as trusted advisors for all our strategic and enterprise endeavors. Along with managing compilation of our financial statements, looking after our cash and overseeing compliance, we partner closely with the business in overseeing company wide resource allocation, developing cutting edge compensation initiatives and generating detailed financial analyses to drive the business forward. We also develop advanced capital strategies to support the company's short- and long-term future.

In this hybrid role, you will report to the Accounting Manager.

You Will

• Own the global month-end intercompany close and consolidation process, driving multi-currency FX revaluations, eliminations, and group reporting in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS

You Have

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• 4+ years of experience at a Big 4 Firm
• 4+ years of experience with operational, intercompany accounting

We Prefer

• Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, particularly in the areas of intercompany accounting, consolidation and FX
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills; and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
• Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, and to lead and drive complex initiatives
• Proven experience in technical accounting research and documentation
• Experience in the tech industry
• Experience with SAP Cloud, Systems implementation

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
