Job summary

UC Funds, a fast-paced boutique private equity real estate firm headquartered in Miami, Florida, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, close processes, and financial modeling. This newly created role reports to the COO/CFO and will collaborate across leadership while utilizing MAS 90, Yardi, and FICS.

The position starts fully in-office in Miami with some hybrid flexibility after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including financial reporting and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles with experience in financial analysis and modeling.
• Experience within real estate, private equity real estate, financial services, or related industry preferred.
• Experience with MAS 90, Yardi, and/or FICS, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and supporting materials for senior leadership and the investor group.
• Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, expense management, and other core accounting activities.
• Support financial analysis, forecasting, modeling, and other ad hoc finance projects.
• Maintain accounting systems, including MAS 90, Yardi, and FICS, and partner with leadership to improve reporting and processes.

KLR Executive Search Group is proud to partner with UC Funds, a fast-paced boutique private equity real estate firm headquartered in Miami, Florida, to recruit a Senior Accountant. This newly created position is being added to support the continued growth and expansion of the organization.

The Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the COO/CFO, the Senior Accountant will support key accounting and finance activities, including financial reporting, month-end and year-end close, expense management, financial modeling, and accounting systems. The role will work across platforms including MAS 90, Yardi, and FICS and will partner closely with leadership across the organization. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with strong accounting fundamentals, analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The position will begin fully in-office in Miami, with some hybrid flexibility available following the onboarding period.

Key Responsibilities:
