Job summary

Phaxis in Mahwah, New Jersey is seeking a financial accounting professional to support project costing, percentage-of-completion accounting, and monthly financial reporting.

You will assist with balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close activities, and the preparation of monthly statements and management reports, applying GAAP and revenue recognition principles. Opportunity to cross-train in AP/AR, payroll, and other GL functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project costing and budget-to-actual variances.
• Support percentage-of-completion accounting and project financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Apply GAAP and revenue recognition principles to accounting transactions.
• Assist with process improvements and strengthening internal controls.
• Cross-train in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, sales tax, payroll, and general ledger functions
