What You’ll Do
- Lead and execute month-end and year-end close for assigned entities, end to end — journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules through completed, review-ready financial statements.
- Own financial statement preparation for assigned entities, and support close and consolidation for the larger, more complex entities alongside the financial reporting lead.
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations across multiple systems and entities, resolving discrepancies rather than escalating them.
- Handle multi-entity accounting, including intercompany activity and the differences in how each company operates.
- Apply GAAP and company policy to accruals, revenue recognition, fixed assets, and other technical areas, and document the support behind the positions taken.
- Analyze financial results, identify variances, and provide meaningful explanations.
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to internal and external audit requests.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies — and bring forward solutions, not just observations.
- Assist with technical accounting research and special projects.
- Provide reporting and analytical support to the financial reporting function — pulling and validating data, building schedules, and supporting management reporting.
- Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and other business teams.
