Job summary

CFS in Kent, Ohio is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our large, family-owned building materials company. You will manage fixed assets, prepare journal entries, assist with month-end close, and support the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.

This role offers exposure to a multi-location operation, collaboration with a corporate accounting team, and opportunities for growth as you contribute to financial reporting and account analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Experience as Staff Accountant or in general ledger accounting.
• Knowledge of fixed asset accounting and month-end close is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
• Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close process.
• Perform general ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Assist with financial reporting and account analysis.
