Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a Senior Accountant for a hybrid role supporting a growing construction/manufacturing client. You will manage multi-site close cycles, oversee five books and extensive cash accounts, and drive month-end reporting and variance analysis.

Qualified candidates have a accounting degree, 5+ years of senior experience, and strong Excel proficiency. Acquisition experience is a plus; excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting.
• Minimum five years of senior experience.
• Prior extensive ownership of the monthly close cycle in a multi-site environment ideally complex/growing.
• Financial reporting background.
• Acquisition experience in a PE-backed company is a strong bonus.
• Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Responsible for 5 sets of books & 16 operating/petty cash accounts. Bank/Balance Sheet reconciliation.
• Prepare month-end journal entries, along with necessary supporting documentation.
• Prepare various balance sheet reconciliations including cash, work in process, accrued liabilities, prepaids, among other accounts.
• Assist with analyzing job costs and closing jobs at month-end.
• Analyze weekly cash and bank transactions to ensure properly recorded.
• Research accounting questions from business unit personnel and Corporate.
• Research and review reconciling items or accounting issues, recommend or resolve issues.
• Assist with process improvement and documentation of procedures.
• Complete variance analysis and provide insights on changes in trend and period-over-period movements.
• Assist in preparation of internal monthly and year-end financial reporting.
• Support annual audit procedures through data gathering, variance explanations, and documentation preparation.
